With scalloped rim, on scrolled feet, the center decorated with engraved neo-rococo motifs surrounding engraved inscription, "Presented BY THE PASSENGERS OF the Packet Ship, George Washington/ TO CAPTN. AMBROSE BURROWS/ Her Commander,/ As a Testimonial of their Respect for his Abilities as a Seaman and Gratitude for his kindness and unwearied attention to their comfort and happiness during the Voyage from NEW YORK TO LIVERPOOL/ Feby. 1841.," marked to underside,and with additional mark, "Wordley & Mayer, Liverpool."
