One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast & assembled tanzanite and diamond ring with a bright polish finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured diamond is set within a two tiered diamond bezel, supported by a three millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of “14K”. Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 12.55 x 10.40 x 7.25mm, approximate weight of 7.3ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, moderately strong, violetish blue color, (GIA Vb 6/4) to medium dark, moderately strong, bluish violet, (GIA Bv 6/4), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. The stone displays 40% extinction. Colored Stones Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple change of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Sixty prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.00 – 1.80 x 1.14mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 60 Stones = 1.73ct. Graded in the setting.
