Two American gold coins including a larger 1885 and smaller 1879 example. Both with a reeded edge and mounted so that the obverse side is right side up. The larger is a 1885 $5 Liberty or S Coronet half eagle coin, designed by Christian Gobrecht, 900 fineness. The smaller is a 1879 $2 1/2 Liberty of S Coronethalf eagle coin, designed by Christian Gobrecht, 900 fineness.
