Short sword with ebony handle and gilt decorations, gilt decorations are fading and faintly visible on the handle.
Traces of gilt decoration are visible on the blade, but are essentially worn off.
Blade is lightly rusted, total length is 23.25", blade is 17.5"
This sword was found in a Victorian mansion in Nyack belonging to the Mann family, Mr Mann was a direct descendant from General Jonas Mann, General of the Vermont State Militia, General Mann was born in 1771, and died in 1831, General Mann's masonic apron is listed under lot # 176 in this catalog.
