After the Antique, on a gilt bronze socle and black slate plinth.
overall height 16 3/4in (42.5cm); width 9 1/2in (24cm); depth 6in (15cm)
Footnote:
This model is thought to be a copy of the head of Menelaus of the Pasquino Group which is a Renaissance marble copy of a Hellenistic bronze original dating to circa 200–150 B.C.E. The marble version is in the Loggia dei Lanzi, Florence.

Condition

With an overall dark brown patina with shiny surface. Possibly repatinated. General marks, scratches, rubbing and wear.
