A LATE 19TH CENTURY DRESDEN TYPE PORCELAIN FIGURAL MANTEL CLOCK ON STAND depicting an eastern figure on horseback defending himself from a cheetah, standing on a rococo style plinth base with a panelled scene of a bird amongst flowers. The 3.5" enamel dial with Roman numerals signed Henry Marc, Paris fronting an eight-day striking spring driven movement with silk suspension. Written in blue to the underside of the clock and the base BLU. (51cm high 38cm wide 17cm deep )
