Alpaca edge binding; 2) Cotton double cloth panel, Chimu Culture, c.1200-1550 CE, Peru.Profile sea deity in repeat serial display. These strips would be paired with alternating plain weave strips to form a garment. This example has seen extensive pre-burial use.
