Item Details

Description

Classic Confederate D-guard Bowie Knife with iron knuckle bow and guard, Ash wood grip. Hand forged clipped point steel blade of 13 inches & overall length 18 inches. My recollection is that this form, was likely made in Richmond, Virginia. The substantial steel D-guard terminates in the quillon sweeping up and to the users left in very dramatic fashion. I'm confident this is part of the makers design and not a soldier modification.
A really great Johnny Reb Bowie Knife. Genuine in all respects and definitely CS made.
