Before his death in 1922 in Nottingham, United Kingdom, he garnered acclaim for his pastoral scenes through exhibitions in London at the Royal Academy and Royal Society of British Artists.The record sold price for this artist in auction is USD $36,471, for his work, "Spiegelend Water: Shipping on a Calm", which was sold at Christie's Amsterdam in 2009.
