Good William IV Sterling Silver Armorial Presentation Salver

hallmarked London, 1830-1831, by Edward Barnard & Sons, of circular form with elaborate rococo scroll rim crested with floral bouquets, raised on four robust rocaille feet, the plateau with flat-chased band en suite centering the engraved arms of Joseph Everett (1793-1865) of Heytesbury and Upton Lovell, co. Wiltshire.; inscribed on the underside "Given / in remembrance of / William Everett Waldron / 1833".

Provenance: Estate of John A. Saur, Sugar Land, Texas.

Notes: Joseph Everett, a banker, and William Everett Waldron (ca. 1770-1833) were both from prominent and closely associated families of clothiers in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
