A selection of fifteen silver napkin rings, to include a bulbous, presentation engraved pair, hallmarked William Vale & Sons, Birmingham 1902, a pair with slightly flared and reeded rims, hallmarked James Deakin & Sons (John & William F Deakin), Chester 1914, and eleven further examples of varying forms and designs, four with presentation or initial engravings, hallmarked mostly Birmingham and Sheffield, early to mid-20th century. Overall weight 8.7ozt (271g).
Condition Report:- Items show varying degrees of surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
- Hallmarks are generally clear and legible to all examples.
- Several examples show splits and misshaping to rims.
- Silver to two pairs is quite dull and would benefit from a clean and polish.
- Border to one example has split and lifted.
- Gauge to several examples is quite thin.
