Description
For your consideration are (2) Derby porcelain pieces circa 1815. The first piece in this offering is a beautiful parcel gilt tray in the Imari palette. The underglaze blue elements of this platter are deep, dark and crisp and accented by hand-applied enamels and gilding. This platter measures 11"(l) x 8 1/2"(w) x 1 1/4"(h). The platter is marked on its reverse with the Derby porcelain mark dating to between 1806-1825 and a decoration number "38" and an incised size mark reading "11". The plate depicts a large tree with its branches covering its entire surface. The tree is filled with blossoms big and small and a pair of jubilant birds perched on its limb. The coloration in this plate is superb - bright, crisp and well executed. The plate measures 9 3/4" in diameter and is also marked with the Derby porcelain mark dating to between 1806 and 1825. The set weighs 2 pounds, 6 ounces.

Condition
Platter is in excellent condition with no damage, breaks, chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Slight losses to gilded details noted but none that are overly distracting. Plate is in excellent condition with no breaks, cracks or repairs. Plate does have two rim chips that are mainly hidden on the reverse of the plate and are not overly distracting and easily repaired, if desired.
