Chinese Qing Dynasty Kangxi Jihong Porcelain Water Pot. Potted in water pot, bell shaped body, deep curvature, of a deep vessel, round short neck straight upward to form the small opening rim, with round flat foot base rim. Warm and uniform red glaze applied to the whole surface, only the upper mouth rim and outer bottom is white glazed. Red is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Qing Dynasty. The red color of the packet symbolizes good luck, corresponding with fire, symbolizes good fortune and joy. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years KangXi Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
