Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue and White Peony Porcelain Plate. The plate has a broad wide central interior, thick and round mouth lip, raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of peony blossom interspersed with foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
