Fine, Chinese Qing Dynasty nephrite jade brush water. Finest Jade carved into a tapered bulbous vessel with wide opening further to smooth hollow interior, in a shape of water pot, with steep rounded sides everted to broad wide cavetto. Two archaic dragon emerge flanked on the main body create sturdy handles. The exterior carved by emerging snarling huge imperial five claws dragon careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-Shui waves in a white jade color dragon squama. Interspersed with carved mouse on the upper main body, enclosed repeating interlocking key fret Wanzi pattern. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-Shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. And The mouse - Laoshu symbolizes strong vitality in culture for two reasons. The ancient Chinese saying goes "shrewder than the Rat", people use the former to describe those who are very quick–witted. In addition, people also believe that the Rat can communicate with God to predict good or bad luck. As a matter of fact, the Rat lives in nature and can react to natural disasters, such as earthquakes, flood, drought, and a plague of locusts, so it was considered to be a godly creature by the ancient people. Elegancy come fitted stand with royal olive green interior cushion, adorned with auspicious pattern on metallic thread ribbon. The Elaborately carved cushion frame perfectly accentuates this work of art. The Nephrite Jade has a lustrous tone, with pale-celadon iridescent and attractive sporadic golden russet inclusions, exquisite and detail, the jade stone have clean tone, with pale-celadon iridescent and moist milky appearance.
