Exceptional Quality in the workmanship of this wonderful vintage piece! This Double Decker Carousel features Circus animals, people from the turn of the century riding on the upper and lower decks, and a golden stairway with a railing that goes up the middle for upper deck access. Its styling is Victorian. Made of fabric, plastic, metal, and wood it is not a toy for children, but a collectible piece for adults. Its intricate detailing is superb and it plays both Christmas and everyday period music. There are 15 Christmas Carols and 15 All-Time Classics. With the flip of a switch, the music moves from Christmas to no music, to classics. The volume is also adjustable. When playing, the lights on the carousel light up and one does hear a clicking sound underneath the tone of the music. The Carousel is approx 11" x 11" x 18". The Carousel is in a good, used condition. When I tested it for the first time, I noticed the Carousel did not move. Pushing down on the first level's center caused it to move. It does make a little noise when it moves. It comes in its original box which is approx 15" x 15" x 17 1/2" and weighs 8.7lbs.
