Pair of parcel gilt mahogany mirrors in the federal taste, each having a scrolled broken double pediment centering on a flowering urn above an inlaid oval with bellflowers, the reverse painted eglomise panel depicting a maritime naval battle, flanked by flowering vines. Unmarked. Approx. of one, h. 49", w. 21".

Condition

Previous repairs; crack to one pediment the other pediment loose; one floral garland element not present; loss of silvering to plate with pleasant darkening; minor losses to reverse painting; no apparent cracks to glass.
