ISIDORE JUES BONHEUR (FRENCH, 1827-1901) EQUESTRIAN BRONZE SCULPTURE, depicting a Thoroughbred stallion posed on a naturalistic base with stepped edge, signed "I. Bonheur" to top of base, and with Peyrol foundry stamp to side of base. Rich dark-brown patina. Late 19th/early 20th century. 13 1/2" HOA, 15 1/2" LOA.
Provenance: From the Joseph and June Hennage collection, to benefit the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
