CAST-BRASS AND OVERSHOT GLASS ADJUSTABLE MINIATURE PEG LAMP, rubina, pyriform font fitted on a cast-brass candle-stand, peg is supported by a vertically adjustable ornate scrolled arm with figural Mephistopheles head, supported by a highly detailed base with medial concave shell pattern and scrolls, each side with a striker edge and front with a match compartment, underside impressed "AD", shaft fitted with a removable cast-brass chimney support, dark Rubina matching patterned cylinder-form shade with six-point star crimped rim, period collar. Fitted with a Kosmos Brenner burner, colorless slip chimney. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 16 1/5" H to top of shaft finial, 12 1/2" H to top of shade, 7 1/2" H to top of collar, 5 1/4" x 7" base.
Provenance: The collection of Larry Spradley, Beaumont, TX.

Condition

Glass elements in excellent condition, shade fitter with a flake, brass base and peg holder each with a drilled hole. Setup undamaged.
