Description
PORCELAIN OWL FIGURAL MINIATURE LAMP, white ground with worn gilt-decorated highlights, standing on a molded circular-form natural-toned base, with yellow and black glass eyes, underside impressed "WO / 4983 / 25" and handwritten "70", opaque green umbrella-form shade with flared-out scalloped rim, period collar. Fitted with a period Kosmos burner, colorless Griffin Brand slip chimney. Probably Ernst Bohne Sons, Rudolstadt, Germany. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 15 1/2" H to top of shade, 7 5/8" H to top of collar, 5" D base.

Condition
Excellent condition, base edge with two flakes, owl and shade undamaged, owl with scattered as made minute black spots, shade fitter with normal as-made roughness. Shade ring soldered to burner, burner with some light denting, chimney undamaged.
