Circa 1935 Royal Doulton Water Jug. This earthenware jug, 8.75" high, is part of Royal Doulton's Kingsware series. This piece features the desirable Sterling silver stopper. Made circa 1935, the Kingsware series used an elaborate process to apply the golf figures, which are dressed in pilgrim-like outfits as they play the game in assorted poses. Instead of simply painting on the figures, Doulton first impressed them in relief and then applied the colors in a novel way to achieve the pleasing tone. Near mint condition.
