For your consideration is a stunning Chinese Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) marked rose famille porcelain plate on yellow ground. The plate is masterfully decorated with (6) iron red round 'shou' symbols surrounded by bats, peaches and five 'tablet of honor' symbols. The glazes on this large plate are of the highest quality and expertly applied. The yellow ground is crisp, evenly applied and provides the perfect backdrop for this intricately designed offering. The plate is thinly potted, measures 10 3/4" in diameter and the rim is slightly upturned and gilt giving the plate a height of 1 1/2". The reverse of the plate shows beautifully enameled floral scrolling vines in the famille rose palette surrounding the rim with a turquoise glazed center. The center is marked with an underglaze blue, 6-character mark denoting the Guangxu period (1875-1908). The plate weighs just over 1 pound, 8 ounces.

Item is in excellent condition with no damage, chips, breaks, noticeable loss of decoration or repair. There are a few small areas near the rim where the yellow ground glaze did not adhere completely to the porcelain body. These areas do not distract and are not considered damage as they occur normally during firing and the underlying porcelain body is unaffected. Additionally, there is a small, tight hairline extending from the rim that is no danger of worsening with appropriate handing. Light wear/losses to gilt decoration on rim.
