Description
A pair of discoid stamp seals, Bactria/Margiana, c. 1500 - 1000 BC, the first featuring drill-style coiled serpents on either side; drilled lengthwise for suspension. D: 13 mm. Light deposits and cut from an attractive material, the second with horizontal hole for suspension. The designs are created by linear aligned drilling, one side with a serpent the opposing side with an antelope with symbol or bird above. 13 x 7 mm. Light deposits. Ex California Museum of Ancient Art de-accession.
