Nadezhda Nikolaevna Rusheva (Soviet, 1952-1969) watercolor painting on paper depicting Shamakhan Queen from The Tale of Tsar Saltan, a tale in verse by Alexander Pushkin, written in 1831. Signed and inscribed on verso. Nadya Rusheva is a talented Soviet graphic artist. During her short life, she managed to create more than twelve thousand paintings. Nadya painted illustrations for the works of Pushkin and Bulgakov, Exupery and Tolstoy, Greek myths and Russian fairy tales.

Condition
Overall condition good. The bottom right corner is ripped. There are a couple small water stains.
