Description
A bronze American bison inkwell, circa 1910. The bison stands on a wide naturalistic looking base with its head looking down by the inkwell which is designed to look like a log or rock. The work is signed by Franz Kucharzyk (Austrian b. 1880 d. 1930).
Dimensions are: 9 1/2 inches tall X 18 1/2 inches wide, 24.13 cm X 46.99 cm; Weight: 7801.79 grams. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The hinge pin has been replaced and the inkwell is missing.
Provenance: From a private CT collection.
