Description
This award has been given every year since 1902 where John Fritz was the first recipient for his work in the US Steel industry. It is given by The American Association of Engineering Societies and is often considered the Nobel Prize for Engineering. This medal is dated 1919 and is not inscribed to the winner who was General George Goethals. He was an Army supervising engineer for the Panama Canal. Obverse - Engineer John Fritz bust and Reverse has Victory standing holding a victors's shield and palm. Signed VD Brenner to left of Victory Smedley #46, Obtained 11/88
