AMERICAN SCHOOL, A GROUP OF THREE MILITARY PHOTOGRAPHS, 19TH/20TH CENTURY, comprising two panoramic photographs, "Main Base of the Punitive Expedition, Columbus, N.M., 1916...J.U. Medley, Photographer, El Paso, Tex.," a biplane parked in the horizon at left, a barbed-wire enclosure at left near the horse stables, wagon and car wheels, mule carts, automobiles and trucks with covered beds, the El Paso & Southwestern Railroad no. 1230 is parked in the lower right, 9 3/4" x 56 3/4"; "Battalion Formation, Ambulance Co's 6-14-22 and Stable Co., Camp Greenleaf, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. Mar. 19, 1918," each company labeled by hand in ink, 7 1/4" x 31 1/4"; and "Maine Volunteer Militia 1st Battalion Regimental Infantry 1898-1899," circa May 26, 1889, inscribed on the reversed Camp Powers, Augusta, Maine, taken during the Spanish American War, Companies A., B., L.[sic], E., showing men with rifles, five men on horseback on a hill, 10 1/2" x 13 1/2".
