Slavery.- Draft Articles of agreement between William Knox of South Wales, and John Simpson and John Tunno, merchants of London of the sale of slaves, 5pp., folds, browned, folio, 29th November 1785 § List of Men and Boys, 4pp., n.d. [1785]; and 3 other drafts and 2 letters relating to the sale, manuscripts, 1 affected by damp, folds, browned, v.s., v.d. (7).

⁂ Simpson and Tunno agreed to purchase one hundred slaves from Knox, at a price of £54 10s each; the "negroes mulattoes or other slaves" had been "sometime since were in the province of Georgia but had lately been removed to... and now are in... Jamaica or some other place", and were to be delivered to the agents of Simpson and Tunno "in Charles Town South Carolina" by 1 May 1786.
