The Westinghouse Electric Company Capital Stock Certificate with Photo
1p, measuring 11.5" x 7.25", Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, dated January 8, 1886. A Capital stock certificate unnumbered and unissued. 100,000 shares were available with a value of $50 each. Decorated with an ornate brown border and a vignette of the Westinghouse Company Works and an electric wheel. Verso has been left blank. The certificate is accompanied by a black and white photograph, measuring 9" x 6", Sunnyvale, California, dated April 8, 1954. The image shows thousands of stockholders and their guests at the first Westinghouse Electric Company meeting held west of Ohio. Captioned and stamped on verso. The certificate has flattened folds, light toning, and a small tear at the bottom margin. Clean holes punched at the bottom.
