Two part cabinet, the set back upper section with outset front corners, the single door inset with an oval portrait of Madame de Pompadour, (titled on the reverse) the official mistress of Louis XV, opening to reveal a fabric lined cupboard with a medial shelf, the door is surmounted by a floral sprig and flanked by reed and tie columns, the lower section has a Rosso Breccia marble top over a drawer and is supported on square tapered legs draped with floral swags and joined by a foliate decorated, entwined loop stretcher.
