The vase is boldly decorated in vibrant shades of cobalt blue with three registers of scrolling lotus divided by a bands of ruyi heads and a geometric design, with a lotus leaf border encircling the mouth. The base has an apocryphal six-character Chenghua mark in underglaze blue within a double circle.
