Mardonio Magana (Mexican, 1868-1947), Head of a Man, carved wooden sculpture, signed beneath and on back, overall: 15.5"h x 6.5"w x 5.5"d. Provenance: From the Private Collection of Bernard Zakheim (San Francisco, Bay Area; thence inherited through descent. Zakheim was an early American artist who worked on the murals of Coit Tower (San Francisco, CA). Exhibited: "Mardonio Magana: El Sentir de la Tradicion" - Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo (Mexico City, MX) - May-Sept. 2003.
