Leather doctor's bag with twenty medical instruments, the bag monogrammed H.A.S., and with a letter postmarked 1983 from the desk of Hubert A. Shaffer, MD, stating that he graduated from medical school in 1929, and this was his bag. Likely the late Dr. Hubert Adams Shaffer, who was an eminent radiologist in West Virginia whose work led to compensation to coal miners for Black Lung disease. Some wear and cracking to leather / in as-found condition.
