Description
A group of 4 porcelain snuff bottles from the 19th century. The group includes: 1 bottle with bats and fish, 1 blue and white landscape with a figure riding an ox, 1 landscape with a bear and butterflies, and 1 bottle with birds and a turkey.
Dimensions are: the largest snuff bottle measures 4 inches tall X 1 inch wide, 10.16cm X 2.54 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: There is a large chip on the bottom, an area of repair, and overpainting on the bottle with fish and bats. The blue and white bottle has minor chips to the lip. The birds bottle has some minor chips to the lip.
Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Mullen in Upstate New York. Mr. Mullen was a world traveler and collected from different countries from the 1950s to the 1980s.
