Description
A Chinese famille rose teapot dating from the Republic period. The lid and bottom each feature a 4-character mark. The dragon mouth is in the form of a spout, and there is an inscription to 1 side of the body and 8 figures in a landscape on the other.
Dimensions are: 3 1/2 inches tall X 6 1/4 inches wide, 8.89 cm X 15.88 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Chip to the mouth of the spout, otherwise good.
Provenance: From Mrs. Schneider in San Diego, California. The piece was collected in Hong Kong in the 1980s or early 1990s.
