Description
A Chinese white jade plaque dating from the 18th century. The plaque is carved on one side with 4 characters below a ruyi pattern, and on the other with 2 chilong with a Shou medallion at the bottom.
Dimensions are: 2 1/8 inches tall X 1 1/2 inches wide X 1/4 inches thick, 5.4 cm X 3.8 cm X 0.6 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It is in good condition.
Provenance: From a private collector in Charlotte, North Carolina, whose uncle and aunt were in China as missionaries in the 1930s and 1940s.
