Description
Inagaki Toshijiro (Japanese, 1902-1963) woodblock print on paper, Yasaka Pagoda, c. 1950s. Signed in red seal lower right. Inscribed on verso. Framed. Pagoda at Yasaka in Kyoto. Toshijiro (or Nenjiro) was a famous kimono designer. He received the highest honor as an artist, Intangible Cultural Property, from the Japanese government in 1962. He designed only handful woodblock prints in the 1950s.
