To do this, Packard built an entirely separate factory for its “Junior” models, which caused sales to more than triple that year and double again the following year. The 120 models were built by using modern mass production techniques and featured more up-to-date modern features like independent front suspension and hydraulic brakes, features that would not appear on the Senior Packards until the 1937 model year. Packard would outlast the Great Depression and all that came with it, but they would eventually fall after building their last Detroit-built concept car in 1956, the Packard Predictor.
