Early 20th century. Leather cane crafted from dozens of graduated cutout segments leading up to brass cast handle with The Great Seal of The United States at top under glass. L 34" Sold from the collection of a Bluffton, South Carolina family. The cane is sold from the collection of a family whose grandfather was the official White House plumber in Washington, DC. He received several gifts over the years from presidents and other government officials and it is likely this was a gift from one of those figures.
