ELGIN AND HAMPDEN 21-JEWEL POCKET WATCHES, LOT OF TWO, each with lever-set movement, having a white enamel dial with Arabic chapter ring and Arabic outer track, sunk seconds subsidiary, and blued-steel hands, housed in an open-face silver-toned watch case; comprising an Elgin National Watch Co. model 20 example, railroad grade 571, serial number J694362; and a Hampden Watch Co. model 5 example, Wm. McKinley grade, serial number 3301263. Each marked to back of movement and to interior case cover. Circa 1917 and 1947. Size 16s.

Condition
Mostly in good to very good overall condition with minor to moderate wear and surface scratches, cases with a few minute nicks; Elgin example with area of significant scratches to back of case cover; Hampden example with a few hairlines to dial and a chip to edge of crystal. Hampden example currently running and not timed for accuracy, Elgin not currently running (see Catalogue Guarantee).
