Description
Featured in this lot is this collection that includes a canteen, quirt, and powder flask from circa 1940's; the quirt and the powder flask show an earlier age, closer to circa 1920s. There are three items in this collection, including a leather wrapped and buckstitched aluminum canteen, brass powder flask with working valve, and a thick harness leather braided quirt with lovely turkshead knots and a double stripe tail. The condition of this collection is good, with a small discrepancy to the top of the handle of the quirt; the collection shows wear consistent with age and use. The measurements of this frontier canteen, quirt, and powder flask are 9 1/2" x 7 1/4" x 4 1/4"; 3 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" for the quirt; the powder flask measures 7 5/8" x 4 1/4" x 1 3/8".
