Chinese Qing Dynasty Silk Panel with 5 Fu Lions each with glass eyes and a Brocade Ball under a panel of the 8 Immortals (Baxian) both on a red ground almost entirely composed of heavily laid cord, gold and silver wrapped threads and small round mirrors with a border of cream enhanced with further laid gold and silver wrapped threads; now mounted with dowels top and bottom for hanging. Height of art 38 inches (96.5 cm.) X width of art 42 inches (106.5 cm.). PROVENANCE: From a private Long Island, NY collection
Condition
Age related allover wear, the gold threads mostly in good condition with a few loose threads, the red silk ground worn with a few holes and tears and the cream silk grounds shreading.
