Antique Large Ornate Wooden Chest Trunk w/ Inlay Veneer. This is a gorgeous antique wooden chest with beautiful inlaid veneer designs throughout. The front of the chest reads "Johann Peter Mackans 1806," and has veneer designs of ornate flowers and birds. The flower vases on each side are surrounded by octagonal trim. There are wrought iron handles on either side of the chest, as well as dovetail joints. There are square nails on either side of the rounded lid. This artfully crafted chest would be especially striking in an entryway or bedroom.


Dimensions are 32 in h x 55 in w x 27 in d. Condition is fair. There is chipping to the veneer. Some veneer and wood pieces are missing. There is surface rust to the metal, and the right handle is broken. The lid is stuck. Please call or email for a detailed condition report.
