The item up for sale is a spectacular and bold ink, acrylic and wood full round sculpture by Red Grooms, an artist forever famous for the brilliant color, unique creativity, whimsical style and many other characteristics that his artworks exhibit. Of all these masterpieces, often his most desired images are intricate renderings of his iconic personalities. Like the one "Original Blind Man" that is of impressive craftsmanship and size, measuring approximately 18.75" high x 6.5" x 6.5". It is even in person, will be a perfect addition to any home or office and has remained in excellent condition since it was painted by Grooms in 1995. Furthermore, it is one the nicest sculptures by Grooms we have ever seen, is Hand Signed, and comes with a Gallery Letter of Authenticity.

Red Grooms: He is widely recognized for his whimsical sculptural paradoxes and paintings, especially with urban and circus themes. His artwork is vast as he works with several mediums, playing with whatever works the best for each image. Grooms who studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, and the New School of Social Research in New York was also a student of Abstract Expressionist Hans Hoffman. Once he got to New York, Grooms worked with Jim Dine, Allan Kaprow, and Claes Oldenburg. It was in New York that his popularity in the pageantry of the circus expanded, something that has intrigued him throughout his life. In 1999, he completed his largest project, which was The Tennessee Foxtrot Carousel in full scale in his home town of Nashville's Riverfront Park near the Grand Ole Opry House. The piece is decorated with scenes from Nashville's history and includes sculpted seats, painted dioramas and heroic figures such as Andrew Jackson and Davey Crockett.
