Description
Horse racing Stevengraph Silk, "At Old Jerome". Late 19th century. Stitch Work of a horserace. Frame 10 13/16" by 14 13/16", Silk about 5 1/8" by 8 3/8" in frame. Silk not examined outside of frame. Excellent condition overall, with a small hole on the right side. Some discoloration/staining on the upper right corner. Stitching is tight, and the scene is clear. Frame is sold as-is. Also included are 2 horse racing programs and 2 score cards. Ca. 1937 - 38. Program for Canaan N.H. Community Fair for Sept. 18, 1937. 6" by 8 3/4". Bound in red paper, has some missing corners, tears. The back cover has noticable fading. The other program is from Danbury, Ct. Agricultural Society races on Oct. 5, 1938. 4 5/8" by 9". Good condition, some minor paper discoloration. The score cards are from July 4 and Augu. 6, 1938 respectively. 14 3/8" by 5 1/2". 5 5/8" by 12 1/2". Some discoloration and some wear from use. The score cards and programs have writing in them, as the spectator followed the races.Keywords: racing, pony, sports, sporting
