An important and rare Ant-Semitic painting by the English artist Thomas Rowlandson (1757-1827). Dimensions: 12x20 cm. Signed.
Thomas Rowlandson was a famous painter and cartoonist in England in the second half of the 18th century and in the early 19th century. He studied art at the SoHo Academy in London, at the Royal Academy in London, as well as in Paris.
Rowlandson was known as a political painter, cartoonist and book illustrator.
Before us is an Anti-Semitic and mocking scene in the watercolor technique on paper, signed by him in the corner of the painting.
