Silver Gilt Personal Seal. Moscow, Gerasim Federov Kopilov (1700-1736). Length: 7 cm. Hallmarked.
A very interesting and special silver gilt seal.
The seal's handle is decorated with finely engraved foliage.
Its base is engraved with the Hebrew name 'Yosef Hagoel'. Hagoel is a Moroccan Jewish last name.
Above the owner's name is an engraved image of a man drawing water from a well.
Gerasim Federov Kopilov was a silversmith active in Moscow between the years 1700-1736.
