Benjamin Harrison Signed Check as an Indiana Senator
1p, measuring 7.125" x 2.75", Indianapolis, dated December 15, 1887. A Fletcher's Bank check made out to Anna H. Morris for $5.00. Signed "Benj Harrison." The check has been mounted and framed with an engraving of Harrison and an information plaque, measuring 14.25" x 16". With cancel cuts, none through the signature. Boldly signed, very fine. Benjamin Harrison (1833-1901) was serving in the Senate at the time this was signed. Two years later he was elected our 23rd President after defeating incumbent president Grover Cleveland.
