Attr. Margaret Fitzhugh Browne
Massachusetts,1884-1972
Depicts a red headed woman dressed in a black leotard facing away from the viewer. Browne studied under Joseph DeCamp, Edmund Tarbell, Frank Benson, Albert Munsell, and Richard Andrew. In 1927, Browne wona commission to paint Alfonso XIII King of Spain, and was a part of the Guild of Boston Artists, Copley Society, and the Rockport Art Association among many more associations.
