George III Silver Cann. Bottom Stamped with Thomas Whipham & Charles Wright, London 1764. Grimwade Maker's Mark #2976. Excellent Condition / Quality. Finely Engraved with Coat of Arms on Front. Measures approx 4" h on approx. 3.5" diameter Base. Weighs approx. 8 OZT. Provenance: Directly from consigner. Her husband was a doctor on The Main Line, Wayne, Pennsylvania. He predominantly collected Philadelphia silver, London silver and other objects of considerable interest including fine art, period furniture, Oriental rugs and fine reproductions in the manner of Williamsburg Virginia furnishings by kittinger and Baker.
